British lenders expect default rates on mortgages will rise during the three months to the end of November, a Bank of England survey showed on Thursday. The quarterly Credit Conditions Survey also showed lenders see no change to the availability of mortgages in the three months to November, but they expect an increase for unsecured consumer loans. Mortgage default rates rose during the three months to August but not by as much as lenders had predicted in the previous survey published in July.
